Effective and enduring ministry requires sound theological knowledge coupled with the dynamic and life changing encounter with the living God.
The Areté Centre brings together these two realities to aspire pastoral and ministry leaders to excellence in servant leadership, to live up to their God-given potential and to grow in knowledge needed for the Church’s mission in the world today.
2022 program video shown above.
This program is open to anyone passionate about parish renewal, who already works in ministry or is interested in starting. Whether you are a volunteer or in paid employment, a youth minister, involved in adult evangelisation, or in leadership in your parish, movement or community, the Foundations of Missionary Leadership program is for you. The program is unlike any other as it is designed specifically for the Australian context and offers a unique blend of theological knowledge, human development, spiritual formation, and practical skills needed for mission.
The areas of study will lay a theological foundation for mission by providing interactive sessions that introduce the Sacred Scriptures, missiology (including the new evangelisation), and the best in leadership and practice. Attention will also be given to the philosophical and sociological underpinnings of the Australian context.
Four instalments totalling A$2,600 or upfront payment of A$2,500.
For more information about fees see the Prospectus.
The Foundations of Missionary Leadership Program may be undertaken as a Graduate Certificate through the University of Notre Dame.
